Allison VanGordon (they/she) specializes in eating disorders and trauma for launching-age adults. If you have been told you are too much, that your story is too complex, or that you have already tried everything, Allison wants to hear it. She brings curiosity, warmth, and the kind of humor that makes hard conversations feel a little less impossible to this work. Together, you will build a version of recovery that actually fits your life. One where you get to practice self-compassion, rewrite the stories you were handed, and be brave in your body even when comfort is not always an option.

A consultation is a chance to ask questions, get a feel for how Allison works, and see if this feels like a supportive fit for you or your family before committing to therapy.
I work with queer and or neurodivergent teens and adults, as well as parents and caregivers supporting teens navigating eating disorders, trauma, burnout, and identity exploration.
She does not provide therapy for children under 15 unless referred and clinically appropriate.

You do not need a diagnosis, referral, or proof that you are “sick enough” to begin therapy. If something feels off, overwhelming, or unsustainable, that is enough reason to seek support.
This practice is private pay. That means your care is guided by your needs, not insurance rules or diagnostic thresholds. But many clients are able to get reimbursed for a significant portion of each session through their out-of-network benefits. The Mentaya tool here makes it easy to check what your plan covers in just a few minutes.
